A free inclusive arts festival for families

IncludFEST Durham took place in September(2017). News on when the next event will take place will be announced in early 2018.

Dance along with Turnarounddancetheatre as they present 'The Thief, the fox and the pheonix'; be sure to be ready for 'SLIDE OUTDOORS', presenting new vibrant inclusive youth dance work including the premiere of a new dance piece by the IncludFEST Durham Youth Dance company; be prepared to go 'out of this world' with the 'Space Rebel Princess’  and stamp your feet as we hoe-down with an excerpt from 'Caty Wompus' performed by Flex Dance Co.

Join in with a range of dance-inspired activities throughout the day designed to cater for all including 2 x Tiny TINs workshops for the younger ones amongst us; Carnival with Yuvel, Streetdance with The Lawnmowers, and a dyamic Decades Dance Off;  Elena J Miller will enchant you all with her wonderful storytelling; and Big Little Gigs create a unique intimate personalised musical experience that will delight and get you moving!

Join Yvonne Preston from Scrap Arts Studio to make your own Spinning Dancers; Emma Tilney of SomniArts brings the fantastic 'Moving Magickal Masks' and the team from Durham County Council will be on hand to help you create your own sculptures inspired by Louise Plant's sculpture Ps in a Pod.

Join us from 2.55pm to watch an excerpt of Caty Wompus by Flex Dance Co before joining in a fun foot-stamping hoedown to finish the day!
